Extremely hacky Qix clone made for Acerola Jam 0. I was going to make one anyway, and it made sense to inject the theme of Aberration into a game about drawing straight lines, although I didn't go as far with it as I initially planned to. I also decided to render everything procedurally with an overly convoluted shader for no good reason, and threw in a dynamic soundtrack using FMOD last minute. Fun!

Instructions:

Arrow keys or WASD to move around the 64*64 grid. Hold Ctrl (or Space, or Left Shift) to leave the edges and start drawing a line. Touching another edge will close the line and fill the area it encloses. You cannot draw a line longer than 48 grid units. The line dissolves into red then blue to warn you that it's running out :)

The green thing is the "main" enemy - you cannot fill an area they inhabit. There are also minimal and maximal fill sizes since my dumb enemy behavior is too easy to exploit otherwise. Once 75% of the level is filled, you win.

If an enemy touches the player or the line they are drawing, the player loses a quarter of their health. Once your health runs out, you lose.

Either winning or losing will restart the level, the only difference being that losing reduces the enemy count, and winning increases it.
